Bullying, suicide – the ending of LGBT teenagers
Anti-gay bullying endured a tragic number of gay teens ending their life in recent years. Even in the west –due to a callous violation of online privacy LGBT teens were subjected to some kind of intolerance and cruelty.
Among the most common causes of death in teenagers, sexual minority youth were more than three times as likely to attempt suicide as heterosexual peers. And Gay teens are the most vulnerable which is almost 4 times more likely to commit suicide than straight teens. Besides, the pain gay teenagers feel when they are taunted affects others around them.
Higher suicide rates among LGBT youth have been documented before, but a recent analysis of suicides offers fresh insight into the factors that are most likely to contribute to these fatalities. Family problems mostly contributed to suicides among younger gay men. Depression is also among the notorious cause.
For some parents, it takes the self-destruction of their LGBT child for them to realize how much society and religion’s antagonism and antagonistic vibe, just as their own absence of acknowledgment of LGBT people, likely influenced their child. Whereas other parents are left with questions as their apparently very happy teenager ends it all out of nowhere, and the fact that they may be LBGT didn’t even come to their thoughts.
Only by understanding these reasons among LGBT youth as a society can reduce physiological stress and prevent more endings to the lives.
